Two fiftysomethings meet at a routine traffic stop that was to change their lives. Mara was the petite state trooper with a ticket book, Orson was the software billionaire in the hot sportscar. A wardrobe mishap makes for a red faced trooper - but love blossoms and soon they are an item. Not that this was the first time they met, it seems they met as a boy of 9 and a girl of 7 on a Whidbey Island beach in Washington state on June 30,1963, when a 90% solar eclipse occured. They swam together in the frigid waters of Rosario strait and swore that they would meet again as they tearfully parted - they had feelings for each otherthey did not quite understand. Forty-six years pass and they had long forgotten each other in the mists of time. But not Gabe, a bumbling angel in charge of getting them together to the order of THE BOSS(i.e. the creator of heaven and earth) since he had an unspecified mission for the pair. Little did the loving pair of cantankerous hillbillies know of the hell that was in store for them - Gabe was not allowed to interfere with the coming tests of their character and the near certainty they may not survive the terrorist incident they were to be caught up in - they both were involved with homeland security, he as a designer of security software, she as a Washington State Patrol Lieutenant. Read on as they have strong devotion to each other, they finally remember their first meeting (with the help of 'secret friend' Gabe), they have premonitions of death which drive them more into a deeper relationship and deal with the coming painful tribulations at the hands of fanatics that believed genocide as a virtue.
